About Scott Hutchinson

Scott Hutchinson has been the Chairman of Hutchinson Builders since 2001. Starting with the family business in 1986, he saw its turnover grow from $6 million to $2.8 billion today. He holds a Civil Engineering degree and an MBA from the University of Queensland.

Beyond his business achievements, Scott has guided the company towards various charitable activities, leading to the company receiving the 2019 Philanthropist of the Year award. He has a strong interest in Brisbane’s live music scene, with Hutchinson Builders owning and establishing music venues, including The Fortitude Music Hall. He serves as the official patron of QMusic. Additionally, Scott owns the Brisbane car of Rock and Roll, George, now in the Queensland Museum.
