About Justin Leppitsch
Former AFL player and coach
The AFL world has been designed so that each club should win a premiership every 18 years. Every now and then a team comes along and defies the odds. Justin Leppitsch is in a rare space when it comes to team success, as he has been fortunate to defy those odds not once, but twice.
His 14-year career with The Brisbane Lions was filled with many accolades including Vice-Captain, All Australian on 3 occasions and the club’s Best and Fairest Award.
He was also part of the all-conquering Lions dynasty that played back-to-back in 4 grand final appearances.
Success has largely followed Justin in his 28 years of AFL, however he attributes his challenges as his reason for success.
He has experienced it all, as an on-field leader, off field coach and mentor to the game’s elite in the most scrutinised industry in the country. Remaining stoic to the plan under pressure and intensity of boards, media and fans can be daunting for some, however not for this proven winner.
