Louise Bezzina, is the newly appointed Artistic Director of Brisbane
Festival with her first festival that she will direct in 2020. Prior to this
role, Louise was the Founding Artistic Director and CEO of Bleach*
The Gold Coast Festival.
Bleach* is the largest arts and cultural festival
on the Gold Coast and a maker of new contemporary Australian work.

Alison Smith, Executive External Affairs at The Star Entertainment
Group. Her role covers government, industry and media relations,
as well as internal communications.
In addition to her role with The Star, Alison is Chair of the Brisbane
Festival Board, an Executive Committee Member of The Committee
for Brisbane, Vice President of the Queensland Futures Institute
Corporate Affairs Council and a Board Director of Women in
Gaming and Hospitality Australasia.
Prior to joining The Star Entertainment Group, Alison worked in
the public and private sectors in information and communications
technology, transport, energy, police and corrective services.
