Biography

Dr. Alan Patching is a highly respected Australian property and construction leader with more than $23 billion in major projects delivered throughout his career. Best known for directing the development of the Sydney Olympic Stadium and Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium, he has also contributed to landmark cultural, commercial, hotel, and residential developments across the country.

Alan began his career as a photo-journalist, with work published internationally, and later went on to hold senior leadership roles including Founder and Managing Director of RCP Pty Ltd, Partner at Rider Hunt and Partners, and Professor of Project and Construction Management at Bond University.

Alongside his industry achievements, Alan is an accredited mental health professional with a master’s degree in psychotherapy and counselling practice and a PhD in workplace mental health. He currently serves on the Advisory Council for the Committee for Brisbane.
