Biography
Campbell A. Rose AM is a highly respected Chief Executive, Board Director, and Strategic Adviser with over 35 years of leadership experience spanning sport, infrastructure, telecommunications, energy, and the not-for-profit sector.
An Olympian and accomplished transformation leader, Cam is renowned for guiding organisations through periods of complexity, growth, and change. His career blends deep strategic insight with practical execution, having successfully delivered turnarounds and growth strategies at both public and private sector organisations.
Recognised as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for his contribution to infrastructure, sport, and the Victorian community, Cam continues to work closely with business owners, directors, and founders across Australia to help grow, restructure, and reposition their businesses. He currently Chairs the AI tech startup ImpactWon and holds multiple Non-Executive Director roles.
A former Olympic sailor, Cam represented Australia at the 1988 Seoul Olympics and has remained a long-standing contributor to the Australian Olympic Committee. His experiences at the highest level of sport shaped his leadership philosophy around resilience, discipline, and high performance – qualities he now applies to business and governance.
Career Highlight
Cam’s most notable transformation came during his tenure as Chief Executive of the Western Bulldogs Football Club (2002–2010). At the time, the club faced significant financial and cultural challenges. Under his leadership, the Bulldogs were restructured, financially stabilised, and repositioned for long-term success. His redevelopment of Whitten Oval became a cornerstone for the club’s identity, enabling the foundations for the Bulldogs’ historic 2016 AFL Premiership – their first in 62 years.
Following this, Cam served as Chief Executive of VicTrack (2012–2023), Victoria’s rail infrastructure agency, where he returned the organisation to profitability, expanded its commercial base, and established VicTrack as a critical contributor to the state’s infrastructure agenda.
