Daniel Hunter is the CEO of Business NSW, the state’s peak body representing businesses of all sizes. He is focused on delivering advocacy, services, and support to help members grow and remain competitive. With a career spanning senior leadership roles across the public and private sectors, Daniel brings deep expertise in finance, operations, and transformation. Prior to Business NSW, he served as Deputy Secretary and CFO at NSW Health, overseeing a $29 billion budget and contributing to the state’s COVID-19 response. He also led HealthShare NSW, a 7,000-person shared services agency. Earlier in his career, Daniel held senior roles at Sydney Water, InterContinental Hotels Group, and Pacific Magazines. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland, a Master’s degree from Griffith University, and is a CPA.
