Deborah Peralta is the Founder of Dello Mano, which began as a stall at the markets and has quickly become a Brisbane favourite for their mouthwatering brownies, sweet cookies and an array of cocoa treats. It’s a haven for chocolate lovers and a great success story:

When I joined Coraggio it was because I really needed somewhere that I could go to share some of the issues and concerns related to my business. As well as some of the exciting aspects. I was apprehensive at first to be honest because I’m not someone who finds it easy to come and join new groups of people.

But, once I got here, I felt totally relaxed and secure in the code of conduct and the confidentiality of the boards. Everyone understands the code of conduct and, at every session that I’ve been to, people have behaved in line with that code of conduct.

As a result, I’m enjoying every moment of it.

As a business owner, you can become very isolated, so one of the big benefits I get from Coraggio is the ability to come along and share ideas and issues and to
get the input and advice of others.

Any concerns I had about reporting my financials to the board quickly dissolved with the code of conduct. You can feel comfortable that people aren’t being judgmental but are supportive to you and your business.

Everyone’s really positive, offering ideas and problem-solving ways you might do things differently to increase your results.

If you are someone who is a little bit more introverted, take comfort in knowing that Coraggio offers a welcoming, relaxed and encouraging environment. You might be a bit more analytical, like me, but the code of conduct allows you to rest assured that you’re in safe hands and that people are there to help, assist and encourage you.

It’s been an amazing experience.
